Story: I was with ATT 5 lines $380 a month bill Tmobile said we will pay off your ATT cancellation fees and balance on any phones if you switch. so I checked and their monthly bill with me would be $260 so I figured thats a good discount since ATT wont match that ill switch!. well I did and their tactics are not like they advertise..
Almost 3 months into the TMO contract I now have a $1700 Dls debt to ATT. where is their they will pay?
here is the Truth: They don't pay it all. in fact very little.
I have 4 phones and a smartwatch all are Sellable on Craigslist, underpricing each phone at about $400 to $450 2 Iphone6s 64GB rose gold and 2 Samsung Note5 64GB one note5 was paid off.
On the other phones there each had a balance one was $680 other was $490 and the note5 was $370.
The switch is a MANDATORY TRADE IN or no deal
Now for the note5 tmo only offered $125 for the note5
for the Iphone they only give you $250
The samsung Galaxy note5 white 64gb still sells for $450 to $500 used on CL ebay amazon everywhere and my phones are in near mint condition.
The value of the Iphone6s Rose gold 64Gb as of writing this its the same value about $450 to $550 everywhere.
So they take the $125 + $250 + $250 and add it to a credit on your account if you dont complain that credit can take up to 3 bill cycles.
Now as for your balance they only pay the cost before taxes so your responsible for all the Taxes. so here is my horrible math:
Note5: $370 they deduct $125 so they pay only $245 to ATT that will be applied to your bill in 3 months and they pay the balance on that. you still have to pocket out $125 and pay ATT but they say that your not spending because they applied it to your bill and when it goes thru you will have that less to pay on your TMO bill.
Then for the Iphones i had 2 they applied 2 credits of $250 so $500
the sum of both Iphones is: $490 + $680 = $1170 minus $500 that will be applied to your Tmobile bill in the next 3 billing cycles = $670 so they pay to att that amount.
1 termination fee of $77 for my smartwatch. ( they said they will cover it)
Now check this out.
They don't actually Pay ATT anything.
YES THAT RIGHT THEY DON'T
you have to submit your Final bill(s) in a form of PDF of your ATT account on a website they provide you..
It goes into a 90 Verification stage. then after 90 days once approved if they approve the amounts or partial amounts they still have another 3 billing cycles to snail Mail you Prepaid visa cards for the amount they approved after they verified it it can be what they say or less (never more), you then can use the prepaid visa cards to partial pay what you owe to ATT ( or whatever carrier you're on).
Now here is another issue. If you switched in the middle of your billing cycle you still have to pay ATT the partial month of usage.
Since you switched ATT forces you to pay the ENTIRE BILL including the balances on the phones.
And since your waiting on TMobile to finish up their shit you now have late fees and more taxes another month goes by and you have an huge bill that its your problem not ATT you have to pay it out of your pocket and they be happy with the crumbs TMobile Approved to give you back.
THIS IS HOW they THANK YOU for switching to them.
In my case the phones they ordered were in backorder so they partially moved 2 lines over and could not move my other 2 lines because they didn't have the phones in stock. so I got fucked.
I did the change the final day of my billing cycle. so i would not have partial month to att.
But that didn't happen I got stuck with a second huge monthly bill from ATT and then guess what in the first Week TMO send me a monthly bill of $336 for their service!! It was only a WEEK!!!
Then they said not to worry because all the credit they gave me for trading in my iphones and note5 would cover it for me!
Well it did. but WTF $336 for the first week of service? What the hell? to me they made that shit up just to take my fucking money.
Fast forward:
(2.5 months in as a client with TMobile)
I still have a $1700 dls bill with ATT my second TMobile bill arrived $280 ( seems this is supposed to be a normal bill) and the service?
All this time I have not have reputable service if I'm lucky 1 bar or 2 bars at home. ( they gave me a tmobile cellspot for my house it doesn't do shit. its just a wifi router, (there was nothing wrong with my old cisco wifi router) but i had to replace it. no change still one or 2 bars.
Garbled calls cant understand the other end talking dropped calls like never before like seriously my entire family and my friends family who listened to me and switched his 4 lines over at the same time BOTH our entire families are the "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW" commercial on STEROIDS!
I traveled to west texas with ATT i had 3 or 4 bars all the way there never lost DATA or had a drop call or chopped gabled voice during a call.
With Tmobile.. NOT A SINGLE FUCKING BAR!!
I am not kidding!!!
I went from Austin Texas to Midland texas and to Hobbs NM and only when i entered midland i got 2 or 3 bars and same for Hobbs!
the rest of the time NO SIGNAL AT ALL.
Want to hear the funny part? I enabled Roaming and i got 5 bars
and the carrier name on my phone on the top switched from Tmobile to AT&T.
FUCK!!!!
Of course i could not place a call because I DON'T HAVE AN AT&T FUCKING ACCOUNT because i fucking switched to T-SHITTLE
I mean TMOBILE.
Now we called and called and complained and its allways the same shit What is your problem we have to tell the story every single time. litterally.
The answer does not change we will look in to it. there are towers being upgraded, give us 3 days or a week it should be done.. they keep doing this week after week to stretch it out and see how long they can play you.
Tmobile rep: "Oh we opened a case number for you"

Oh and i didn't even get in to the NOTE7 recall fiasco that made this issue even bigger with TMOBILE. that is another financial RAPE they did to me I had to return both NOTE7 they allegedly refunded and cancelled that purchase. but no.. they partially did something because i ended up paying about $450 out of my own pocket for some fucking reason something about they credited my account and part of it paid my bill and the rest was applied to payoff the Note7 so that partial payment that did not get applied to the $990 cost of the Note7 i had to pay it out of pocket!
But not to worry because in 3 billing cycles if they remember they will apply $25 dls credit to my bill for returning the Note7's and not the $100 that was advertised. $100 was if you got a samsung phone.
Since i didn't get a samsung phone they only give $25 but only after 3 billing cycles. oh and they have the option to split those $25 in to 3 monthly credit payments on your bill.
Yup i think that's all i got for now on this.

Stop fucking around doing stupid shit on twitter and giving free shit away and use that money to help issues like mine and my friends
use the money to make a TRUE we will pay you to switch deal.
MAKE that look REAL not like a scam and leave new customers feeling their ASS rapped.
Or better yet use that money to actually get coverage.
I'm about to sell my car, motorcycle phones and possibly house, to switch back to AT&T.
Because i know when i switch your going to come at me with a huge fucking bill of what i owe you for leaving the the most shittiest service and coverage Cell phone company in AMERICA
